THE UNVEILING OF the day is brought to you by Dell - with the much anticipated Inspiron Mini 9, its contender in the kneetop battle.
This tiny computer features an 8.9-inch screen and is made to be easy to carry and is aimed at a wide range of consumers including teenagers, travellers, social networkers and more – all targeted because of their on-the-go lifestyle.
You can pick up an Inspiron Mini 9 for as little as 1.035kg, although it is still relatively durable with a sealed keyboard and SSD memory storage.
This mini marvel has other interesting optional features such as built in Wi-Fi, built in Webcam and built in Bluetooth.
So, if you fancy this portable friend you can buy one from £299 with Windows or from £269 with a Dell customised version of Ubuntu Linux installed.
It is available in UK, Ireland, France, Germany and Austria immediately from Dell online, however if you live in Spain or Italy you're going to left in suspense a little longer as you can't have one until October. µ

Nice to see Dell ripping us off in the UK again! $349 vs. £269 (~$540) for the same machine. Think that I'll be buying mine in the States... G
What am I doing wrong here? While ordering one of these from Dell I see no option for preinstalled Linux instead of Windows.
Dell flavoured Ubuntu comes to the Mini 9 on October 2nd.
If not I don't want it. When are they going to put 3G on these cute toys? I want to use it on the road.
