The INQUIRER - we make the agenda that breaks the agenda
AFTER COMPLAINING OF a busy console-news season last week, this week has seen fewer mutterings from the gaming industry.
Xbox 360
In addition to
these
this huge list of 80 features to be added in the Xbox 360 Spring Update,
Kotaku has caught on to an almost-unbelievable rumour.
It's alleged that the next update will also include a 3D motion-controlled dashboard - one that will utilise the much-rumoured 360 motion-controller.
Further to the rumoured US price-cut of the Xbox 360 last week, Joystiq has discovered another source of confirmation in the guise of Radioshack.
Consumers in Australia have already had their price-cut confirmed.
The Sarcasticgamer has gotten hold of a Halo 4 announced that the Dualshock 3 wireless controller will be released in Europe on July 4th. The controller will cost £39.99.
Version 2.4 of the Playstation 3 firmware turned into a bit of a fiasco. You can about the firmware-bricking in the INQ's coverage here.
If you've still not seen it, Gizmodo has the firmware in pictures.
Wii/DS
Due to continued massive demand, Nintendo has pushed back the DVD-playing
version of the Wii further according to
Joystiq.
Consoles sap a lot of power. If you're eco-conscious about the energy burnt by your beloved Wii, consider adding solar-panels - Tom's Hardware did.
DS eat-your-heart-out, a hand-held NES is where it's at. Ben Heck has managed to cram a NES into one of its own carts.
On an even lighter note, if you're bored of the standard Pez-candy dispensers, and love your Wii, check-out this candy-dispensing Wiimote.
Alternatively if you're more into Starwars than candy, you can grab these light-sabre styluses. µ
The Xbox already has a motion controlled interface - as many walls will testify.
Just to clarify here: there is no spring update planned for the 360. They've skipped it... Quite wise considering we're now in summer. :)
Did you actually read the article after you wrote it? The XBox 360 section is a touch confusing.
It wasn't Ben Heck who created it, it was some guy on the Ben Heck forums. Kudos to the guy that did it, but that is not Ben Heck quality.
